CBS Broadcasting, Inc is a reputed television network initiating commercial broadcasting. They started their operations as radio network and even continue operating their radio network. They are presently the second largest in broadcasting business, following BBC. They even have a number of radio stations and large television market. The network started operations as United Independent Broadcasters Inc., in 1928 under the leadership of William S. Paley as a collection of about 16 radio stations. Paley renamed the venture as Columbia Broadcasting System. Under Paley, CBS achieved the feat of largest radio network; and gradually became one of the three leading television network under American broadcasting system.
