Telscape was founded in 1999 to cater for the unique communications need of the Hispanic market and it has continuously done this by offering customized telecommunication services to over 60,000 customers in California. After its inception in 1999, the company merged with Pointe Communications based in Atlanta in the same year then went on to merge with Telscape International in 2000. Telscape was reacquired by TSG Capital Group in 2001 after a NASDAQ downturn and then in 2006 Golden Gate Capital and Gemini Partners bought out TSG Capital.
