Lacks is a furniture store which had been established in the year 1935 when a Russian immigrant Sam Lack came in Mc Allen Texas. Sam Lack's successful career started in modest building at corner of Beaumont and Main in downtown McAllen. In the year 1949, Myles Aronson (Sam's Son-in-law) stepped into the family business. Later on, Myles had bought Weslaco store from Lacks and continued his expansion program namely "Lacks Associated Valley Stores, Inc". Again in 1990, Myles purchased Mission and Edinburgh stores from Sam Lack. In 1990, the company had changed to "Lacks Valley Stores, Ltd" in 1995. Lacks holds 65th position among the leading 100 retail furniture stores in U.S.
