Purchased an appliance in July and as of today September 6th, it has not been delivered. Free Delivery and Installation valued at $150 (on their ad) translates to a choice of $79.99 in a Debit card or $100 store credit. Attempts at calls to corporate office just puts you in a circular message stream with no one answering the phones or an ability to leave a message. Much more background to this situation, but not enough time to tell it.

back in january 2013 , i bought a double recliner power chair. all was well until i discover it had a manufactured defect. the recliner was made be ashley furniture. apparently the cushions underneath were being cut by the mechanism in the chair. they were very sharp and every time we reclined the chair the metal mechanism would slice the cushions on both sides. i contacted hhgregg service department regarding the defect. after dealing with this problem for two hole months the repair tech told them twice that the furniture had a manufactured defect. i went back to the store to select another recliner and i discovered that all of them had the same problem. i refused to select another one and i pointed out the problem to the store managers. i was on the phone with customer service when i was at their store. the rep told me that they would issue me a store credit only. they arranged for the damaged recliner to be picked up from my house which it was a few days later. i waited for a few days to see when my credit would be issued, no contacted me at all. i had to call them. they finally told be i had a credit for the amount of the recliner has a store credit. they would not credit my hhgregg store card. i was also told i had 90 days to use the store credit or lose it. i was not happy with this, i told the rep that i was being forced to spend almost $1000 dollars in there store for things i did not need or want. i am still making payments on a recliner that i do not have. GE Capital owns the hhgregg store card. HHGREGG is the worst and i will never buy from the again. i will fight to have my credit issued back to my card, and will be contacting their headquarters to see if they will do something about this. i have read lots of horror stories regarding this company and their stores. i should have known when i first walked in the were two or the customers at the most. i should have stuck with BESTBUY, i never had a problem with them.

I purchased a convection microwave on 5/22/14. An hour & half later I cancelled my order which was to come from Atlanta the next day, as the one I owned started working. As of 5/28/14 I still have not had the refund credited to my account. They told me to check with my bank as the deposit could be pending but it wasn't. It is amazing the your account can be debited immediately, but the same technology does not exist to credit your account with the same expediency, I will never order from this company again!!!

I recently shopped at HH Gregg in Gastonia, NC, for a washer/dryer set. I found an Amana Washer/Dryer set for under $700. It was just what I was looking for. Each unit was on sale for $342 each. When I flagged the salesman, I told him about the set I was interested in and I asked him about another brand next to it with a similar price just to get a comparison. He never answered my question. He told me instead that the price was NOT $342 for the set but $342 each. Puzzled, I asked him what made him think I thought that way. The signs were clearly marked. He said, "a lot of people think that way." I said, "it's not a good idea to judge all your customers the same." I then told him I was done with his service. Later, I man who identified himself as the [Appliance Center] manager, asked if I needed any help. I said yes. I have a question about the 2 brand-named washers & dryers. He sent over a salesman, who happened to be the same guy I dismissed earlier. Once again, he approached me with insults, never answering my questions. When I complained to the appliance manager, I told him his salesman needed more training because he insulted me several times. To my surprise, the manager said the salesman did not mean any harm and that I "should be nicer to him." I could not believe what I was hearing. I told him I never raised my voice nor did I curse or disrespect the salesman, but he insulted me several times. I then said I was in town just to buy my son a washer & dryer at your store, but you just blew it, and I walked out. This was the worst experience I have ever had, and I've had some bad ones. Some stores are not interested in making money, but insulting customers and defending their employees. I had set aside $1500 for my son's washer /dryer. I'll just take my business elsewhere. HH Gregg, you lost a customer & s return customer.
