I needed to return a laptop computer to the Staples located in Knoxville, TN and received wonderful quick service. The tech expert was very helpful, courteous, and patient. His name was Michael Mrotzek and deserves Congratulations! Along with Michael, the store manager, Julie Rogers, handled my full refund in a quick and efficient manner. I was impressed with the service at this location, 8913 Town & Country Cr. Congratulations!,

I just picked up a printing order from the store on Tatum and Shea in Phoenix, AZ. I called for information first. When I went in, none of the 3 staff members knew how to take my order. I left a sample of my project that I had printed out at home, but in a 5”x 7” size. I wanted a 4”x 6” 2-sided card. I also left a thumb drive and written instructions. I was told to return the next day. I was called the next day to go in to approve a sample they had printed off. When I arrived, the sample was a 5” x 7” page printed on both sides of plain copy paper and folded. Something I could have easily made at home. I asked about the size and was, for the first time, told they could not do that in store, it would have had to be sent out. I acquiesced, and asked that 100 copies be printed on a medium weight card stock. I was told they could do it right then if I wanted to come back in 1/2 hour. Great! When I returned, the copies were piled in a 8 1/2” x 11” box and questioned if there were 100. When I got home, I noticed I was charged a $20.54 “express guarantee” fee. That was never mentioned when they volunteered to print them right then for me. I could have come back easily in a few days. Also, when I took a closer look at the cards, several were stuffed inside others and I had to go through and hand- separate each one. And there were only 97 cards, not 100. My call to the store manager, “Terrence”, resulted in him apologizing and he said he would talk to the department and try to make it right. Surprisingly, I got a call from “Brad” a few minutes later and he was rude, condescending and told me they never check the number of copies that come out of the machine. He said he “gave me a good deal” to start with and was not interested in hearing my complaints about lack of training, miscommunication, lack of communication, poor quality control and shoddy customer service. I never once asked for a discount, refund if the express fee or any other benefit, I merely wanted them to know they have some serious problems at that store. I will never go back for any reason. My husband is a member with a very busy business account at a different location, but I doubt Staples will ever be my go-to location for any special services in the future.

Staples is trying their best to run customers off. 1st order delivered to the wrong address even though the correct address was on the package 2nd order not delivered when it was supposed to be even thought their own tracking information said it was on the tuck at 8:16 in the morning. When I called to question the lack of delivery at 6 PM I was told that deliveries were made until 7 PM. When I checked tracking at 7 PM it now stated "was not able to deliver by 5PM" So it appears that they just lie about when they will deliver. You can't plan anything since you can't get a legitimate answer as to when they will show up. Additionally tracking now says the order was received at 4:47 AM on the 11th when the order was placed on the 9th. JUST USELESS!

Staples participates in discriminatory business practices! Staples is currently conducting a "PUSH It Forward Contest" which awards a $50K marketing campaign to a small business that wins the contest. Staples disqualified the entry submitted by Maple Creek Gunsmithing in Fremont, Nebraska stating that their entry was rejected because it "contains content that promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of the foregoing); promotes any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous; promotes any particular political agenda or message; is obscene or offensive; or endorses any form of hate or hate group." This is preposterous. Maple Creek Gunsmithing operates within the laws enacted by Second Amendment, and last I checked, Gunsmithing is still legal in this country. The reasons given by Staples for disqualifying this company are prejudicial. If I owned a company that produced scissors, that company could be deemed "unsafe or dangerous" because someone might run with the scissors, fall and lobotomize themselves. According to Staples' logic, "unsafe or dangerous" could apply to scuba diving equipment producers and companies, car manufactures, or just about any other business, yet Staples has singled out this company to disqualify from their contest. Staples participates in discriminatory business practices and I will no longer shop there.
