American Electric Company is full-line wholesale distributor of electrical supplies and Data Voice network products servicing industrial, commercial and residential contracting customers. Luther Reid and E.L. Platt founded American Electric Company in 1897 and in the year 1924, Reid hired a young Russell Peck. In 1949, after Reid passed away, Peck took over as the President. Through multiple changes over the year, Division Manager Louie DeLeon, who served as president from 1990 to 1994, heads the company today. There are 18 locations of the company in Oklahoma, Missouri, Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska, which operates under the name of American Electric Company.
