Just spent over $6,000 for a Kitchen Aid range, refrigerator and dishwasher. I am so unhappy and disgusted. None of the appliances fit correctly, was told the appliances did not come in black stainless as I wanted and every time that I so much as touch this junk, it leaves fingerprints. The bottom drawer on the stove is much smaller so no longer can I place my fry pans inside, the refrigerator is smaller inside and doesn't hold as much. What a horrific way to waste my hard earned money as I make the Executives richer.
Have a s/s double door built in refrig/freezer that is 6 years old and from the first year the ice maker would freeze up. We have had over 20 service calls to replace the same part and it doesn't last more than 3 months. We have to use a hair dryer to thaw it out at least 3 times a week. We have been told this part is no longer available and even though we have a service contract we are getting the run around. Worst product ever. Will go to LG or Samsung in the future.
I bought 4 KitchenAid appliances, refrig, dishwasher (2 drawer type), microwave and stove in 2011 for my new home. I have had problems with 3 of the appliances...the dishwasher has NEVER worked right. The drawers don't stay open so when I load it I need to use my leg to hold open. The stove operating system was replaced 2 weeks after I got it. And now the refrig has some sort of leak from the ice maker. Surprise! The microwave is fine. I will keep my fingers crossed. I won't be buying KitchenAid again!
I am trying to find out what are the best pots and pans to use on the Kitchenaid electric ceramic top Thanks
We have purchased Kitchen Aid products in the past, and liked them well enough to purchase a Model KUDSS30Ixss dishwasher in June of 2011. What a mistake! There are times when the machine turns on when the control panel is lightly brushed up against. On several occasions we could not bypass the Control Lock button in order to start the machine. Additionally, the cheap plastic silverware holder insets do not fit properly, either falling down pulling out when loading or removing silverware. Yesterday the entire control panel was dead. No light came on. A check of the circuit breaker showed no problem there. A while later someone brushed up against the control panel and a light went on. We were then able to run the machine. Because of our experience with this machine we may not purchase another Kitchen Aid product.

I paid $1000 for a mircowave from Kitchen aid and it has never worked properly. They have come out 3 times trying to fix it and it worked for a short time. I have called, made appointment and no result. They out source to contractors that have no idea on how to repiar these items. I would never buy from them again due to their customer service and lousy products. I actually bought 5 ktichen appliances and 3 had problems but the other two are fixed now. Kitchen aid is not what they used to be.
