Excellent servers, excellent food, excellent atmosphere.

All i can say is; you should be very dispointed in your. Mt. Prospect location especailly the. 11:30pm manager...ii dont know who allowed her to work for your company but it was poor choice...she represents your standards and she has severly put steak n shake to shame...she was rude and impatient in the drive from the get go...there was no hiding it...so much so that we were rushed in to ordering we were unclear as to what it was. And were extremely disapointed by....as we came to the window we witness an older woman in a sloppy untucked t- shirt ehich appeared to be unwashed and had nothing indentifying her as a dreak n shake employee...her body and hair appeared the same with unwashed face and hair falling loose from its tie like she could careless...we ate in the parking lot...we went through the drive thru again and believe it or not her demeanor was the same...which means she is doinh this to everyonre vising yo that because the the ability to never behave in a manner that is unbecoming of your companys' standard of professionalism...i would never manage my store like that....we believe in zero tolerace for that ugliness ....leave it at home!!!...i would loose my job on the spot...im ashamed and disgusted in who take that position for granted and are able to fake their way through promotions....i take pride in being a manager this is appauling!!!!!!my name is leanne and i visited mt prospect .il. on may 29 2013 at about 11:40 pm. My husband and I decided to go to Steak n' Shake off of Pleasant Hill in Georgia on 4/29/2013 around 1:15am. We just got back in town and decided to go get something to eat before we headed home. When we walked up to the door, the doors were locked. Inside there was about six tables full of people with the manager talking on his cell phone sitting down in the waiting area. After knocking on the doors, he finally came out and said they were closed due to an issue in their dining room. It made me a little mad, how he didn't care and was smiling like he just didn't want the business because it was already kind of busy that time of night. After experience this, we will not be coming back. That was so rude of the manager!

I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH MY ORDER, THEY MESSED UP THE BURGERS, AND THE LADY WHO WAS FIXING THE BURGERS, WAS WIPING HER FACE WHILE SHE HAD ON HER GLOVES AND THEN WENT BACK TO FIXING BURGERS WITH THOSE SAME GLOVES, AND I THOUGHT THAT WAS NASTY AND I HOPE SHE DIDN'T DO THAT WITH MY FOOD. I DIDN'T COMPLAIN THEN BECAUSE THEN SHE WOULD HAVE HAD AN ATTITUDE AND PROBABLY WOULD HAVE SPIT IN MY FOOD, SO THEREFORE I'M BRINGING IT TO THE HEADQUARTERS ATTENTION. The quality of work from the cooks, the servers and the cashiers definitely leaves a lot to be desired. They need a lot more training. We have loved going to Steak N Shake for over 50 years. We go every chance we get to the same Steak n Shake. The last few times we went have been very disappointing and frustrating with the food and the cashiers.
