It is convenient that you pick and choose your posts and you do not take to heart posts that have meaning. A post sent to you that was put together with deep thought and with your business survival in mind was ignored and not posted. You all need to get your head out of your buttocks, put in on straight and read and hear what the caring public is saying. In case you misplaced, here it is again: My husband and I are HUGE fans of Alamo Drafthouse...or we were...the Highway 6 and Westheimer location was phenomenal...And then you moved to Vintage Park. GREAT MOVE, GREAT LOCATION....BUT you've lost where you came from and your overall objective: TO ENTERTAIN! We CHOSE Alamo Drafthouse for the wonderful atmosphere, the great employees/management, and fantastic menu. Loved it! Loved the individuality of the employees, to express themselves and it was completely exhibited in their service. Love of their work. That appears to be gone, but why? What has happened? Seems clear. Management is not attentive to employee needs or corporate is requiring Alamo to become a mainstream, typical theater. It is no longer our place of choice. Take a look at what you've come from, since you've forgotten: http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/224235 and this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1L3eeC2lJZs If you want to succeed and stand apart from your competition, you MUST get back to where you came from. That is what we love and that is what others love, as you can see from comments on both sites. Don't go Groupon on us because you lack sales. GET BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM. Get rid of your mainstream thinking and be creative again. Bring back the chef that can cook and the menus that you've had. Don't change something that works. You keep doing it and enhance it. Vintage Park is an extraordinary place for your location. Please don't mess it up and not listen to customers that care and want you to succeed. If employees/management are unhappy, you need to listen to them and understand on the local level what is going on at that particular location. The ambience is good, but let me tell you, if a waitperson is exceptional, that person will keep us coming back; because they care. Movie may stink, the drink may not be mixed just right, but if you have employees/management that care and have concern for the customer, that will keep us coming back. Phenomenal as defined by Merriam-Webster:Definition of PHENOMENAL: "relating to or being a phenomenon: as . a: known through the senses rather than through thought or intuition . b: concerned with phenomena and also, Dictionary.com:adjective 1. highly extraordinary or prodigious; exceptional: phenomenal speed. 2. of or pertaining to phenomena". Get back to where you came from. Get out of your corporate seat, visit your locations, talk to the ones that count and get it back. Become phenomenal again. Appeal to our senses and we will come back. Stay out of the norm that theaters have. We don't want that. Here is Mainstream defined: "Mainstream is the common current thought of the majority. The mainstream includes all popular culture and media culture, typically disseminated by mass media". Note the word "common". We are tired of common. We want Alamo Drafthouse back...the way it used to be. Best wishes for success as you get back on track.
