American Signature is a privately owned and managed company, which is based in Columbus, Ohio. The company is the parent company of Value City Furniture, which is a retail brand. Jerome Schottenstein established the company back in 1948 and now the company operates its stores in about 125 locations. All the retail shops are supported by different distribution centers, which are scattered across 19 states for proving quality products to its customers. The company stills owns the Value City Furniture as well as the American Signature. Majority of the stores owned and operated by the company are based in Southern U.S.

    I am very very very disappointed with the service and customer service that I just received from American Signature Furniture. First of all I have always been in good standings with my Acct via synchrony. I paid my acct off in full a couple of years ago. I attempted to make a new purchase online on 9/25/2020 due to the current state of covid. My transaction declined. I called in to inquire about why it declined and was advised that my acct closed on 9/21 which was 4 days ago due to inactivity. I was never notified of the acct being closed. I receive emails for everything else but not one email stating that my acct was in the process of being closed. I then asked to speak to a Manager to inquire about re-opening my acct and was transfered to the Rudest Manager that I have ever spoke to in my life. Joshlyn was not only rude, but she cut me off in mid statement and transferred me in the middle of me speaking. If she is a representation of American Signature then I have no problem never doing business with the Company again. I will also be sure to notify all of my family, friends, and social media associates about the service that I have received.

    On August 5, 2020 I ordered two Navy Blue leather love seats and one red leather recliner, these items were scheduled for delivery on September 23, 2020. On August 6, 2020 I called American Signature and ordered another red leather recliner which was supposed to be delivered on October 8, 2020. I received a phone call on September 22, 2020 saying that the two navy blue love seats would be delivered tomorrow and the two red leather recliners would be delivered on October 22, 2020. I explained to the lady on the phone that I was supposed to get one of the recliners delivered on September 23, 2020 along with the two navy leather love seats. She said she would have the manager call me when he came in at 3pm, of course I never received a call. So the two love seats were delivered as promised on September 23, 2020. After the items were delivered I called American Signature to discuss the rest of my order. Kathleen (the manager) answered the called and I told her I wanted to discuss my order, this women was verbally disrespectful and quite unprofessional. I would not recommend anyone purchase anything from this company because they have no clue how to communicate with their customers after they get your money. PISS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Don't deal with them!

    I PURCHASED A BEDROOM SET FROM THE AMERICAN SIGNATURE IN SARASOTA ON PARKWAY,I WAS SCHEDULED TO PICK IT UP,WHEN I GOT THERE THE GUY WHO LOADED THE TRUCK ENSURED ME THAT ALL OF MY PRODUCT WAS ON THE TRUCK,WHEN I GOT HOME WE STARTED TO PUT THE SET TOGETHER I NOTICE IT SEEMED LIKE PIECES WERE MISSING,I DECIDED TO CALL THEM BACK,BUT BEFORE I COULD DO THAT THEY CALLED ME STATING"MS OATES THE WAREHOUSE GUY FORGOT TO LOAD PARTS OF YOUR BEDROOM SET"IT WAS THE RACKS FOR MY DRAWERS TO MY STORAGE BED.WELL NEEDLESSLY TO SAY I COULDN'T CONTINUE TO PUT MY BED TOGETHER,BUT AS I WAS INSPECTING THE REST OF THE FURNITURE I WAS MISSING 4 DRAWERS TO THE STORAGE BED,SO I DECIDED TO CALL THEM THIS MORNING ABOUT BOTH SITUATION,I HAD BEEN CALLING ALL MORNING LONG AND THEIR RESPONSE WAS HE WAS IN A MEETING OR THE WAREHOUSE MANAGER WAS BUSY,OR PUT ON HOLD NEVER TO BE ADDRESSED,FINALLY AT 1:15 PM I CALLED BACK I WAS ASSISTED BY A SERVICE PERSON,WHO SAID SHE WOULD CALL ME BACK ONCE SHE FIND OUT WHAT'S GOING ON,SHE KEPT HER WORD AND CALLED ME BACK IMMEDIATELY,SHE SAID EVERYTHING HERE IS AWAITING YOUR PICKUP,BUT DO THESE PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT I HAD TO PAY SOMEONE TO USE THEIR TRUCK,NOT ONLY THAT BUT TO PAY MEN TO UNLOAD THE TRUCK,WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO RECTIFY A BIG MISTAKE THE COMPANY MADE,YES THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS BIG TIME.

    delivery crew scratched my door 2 times geting couches in the house then denied the claim never was fixed also had to send couch back twice after defects were found on couch and kids bed is also cracked i was also denied the headquarters number and told to email bad customer service and bad furniture thousands of dollars wasted i will find corparates number and get a full refund and they can have there furniture back dont buy from these companys tried to call number above and does not work
