Austin Radiological Association is at service of the people since 1954. Dr. Robert Snider is credited as the first full-time radiologist at Seton Hospital. They operate nearly fifteen imaging outpatient centers throughout Central Texas and Austin. They even provide special services of radiologists at about seventeen hospitals of the region. They are a reputed member of Strategic Radiology. Dr. Snider even hired another radiologist and established Austin Radiology Group (ARG). In 1968, they were officially named Austin Radiological Association (ARA). In 1990, nine more radiologists joined the association and after few years, they merged with Radiology Consultants. They are a pioneer in imaging services including PET/CT, multi-detector CT and even Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
