First created under the authority of Ohio Reserved Code by the commissioners of Youngstown and Mahoning counties, the company is presently managed by a public-appointed committee headed by J.P. Brown Ill, President and administrators. The services offered are broadly –bus lines, transportation services, charter and rental and school buses. They further fall under the following four categories called fixed type of service, suburban service, small buses for seniors and disabled, and easy bus service for home pick-up. The major service provider is called Western Reserve Transit Service which is funded by local, state and federal agencies.
