Gilmore as Gilmore Steel, it became Oregon Steel Mills (OSM) in 1987; and subsequently in 1993, the management purchased Colorado Steel and Iron also. Next, the year 2007 saw Evraz Group S. A. of Russia buying OSM after which the mill came to be known as Evraz Oregon Steel mills, Inc. The company manufactures popular and important items such as steel rails for railroads, pipes for use in oil and natural gas transmission, armor plating for the US military, and structural tubings for use in core industries.
