TECO-Westinghouse Motor Company was founded in 1988 as a joint venture between TECO Electric & Machinery Co. and Westinghouse Electric. Under this arrangement, Westinghouse MC manufactured the large AC and DC custom products while TECO manufactured the less custom products. TECO American was acquired by TECO-Westinghouse Motor Company in 1998 and all TECO operations consolidated with those of TECO-Westinghouse Motor Company.
