My children bought me the Mothers ring from ZALES ( this year 2020) to give me for my birthday and Mothers Day. Received it at the end of May. Three months later a stone fell out (a tiny birthstone). Contacted customer service and they said they wouldn't replace the stone free! It is only 3 months old, only worn a few times (special occasions). Very bad on their end. A warranty wasn't purchased. Understand if it was a year or longer old but 3 months?!? Will never buy from them again, jewelry should last longer than 3 months! And they should stand behind their jewelry

Since I was in my twenties, I wanted a Claddah ring. According to tradition you can't buy it for yourself; it must be given to you. My adult children surprised me with a Claddah birthstone ring and matching grandmother's birthstone pendant with all nine of my grandchildren's birthstones on it for Christmas. I show them off to everyone. Every person who saw them remarked how beautiful they were. But now, I hesitate to show them the ring. The back of it is turning black. It looks like it was painted silver over a black base, and now the paint is pealing off.
