My account was transferred from Urban Active and LA Fitness does not want to honor the membership! They want me to pay like a new member but set up an account for my child for $7 a month! I have contacted local and corporate and no returned phone calls. I left messages for District Manager Mike Bethel and Distric operations Manager Justin Speilman and NO RETURN CALL! I have faxed over to corporate requested contract and paperwork and NO RETURN CALL! Is this Business as Usual for LA Fitness?
I went to my La Fitness on April-24th, which is located in East Brunswick,New Jersey. I arrived at 3pm, spent 1.5 hours doing cardio and proceeded on weights. I did upper body work out.I felt great. Proceeded to the locker room. Well, today my perfect day was disrupted because upon opening my locker I found the locker empty: I was robbed! I went to the front desk and was told that 5 (FIVE) other people had also been robbed. I was the Sixth person today. I WAS A LUCKY BASTARD TODAY. The police was called. Me and the other gentleman who also had been robbed (I do not know if he was the fifth or the seventh) waited for the police to arrive. The officer tore a piece of paper and took my information, then gave me my # 13-25204 on this torn piece of paper and went on his way. I HAD AN ORDEAL TODAY. I FINALLY GOT HOME, I WENT TO THE ROBERT WOOD JOHNSON FITNESS CENTER WEBSITE, AND I WILL CERTAINLY BE THEIR NEW NEXT MEMBER.
I go to LA Fitness in Clifton NJ. The Gym is always nasty. Weights are always thrown everywhere and machines are always out of order. The people who work there do nothing. All they care about is signing more and more people up. Do yourself a favor and don't join any LA Fitness clubs.
I find LA Fitness customer service to be an oxymoron. There is none. I rather buy whatever equipment I need!!!
LA Fitness on Downey & South Street in CA is becoming a real dump. Pool has not been heated for 3 weeks now, suana tiles never look like they are cleaned. This one was an old Bally's and that must be the reason it is a ghetto LA Fitness.
i go to the location of torrance ,that place is always filthy ,always out of supplys, paper towel, toilet paper, hand soap.showers never get clean.the location is very very poor condition.
Corp office phone number doesn't work! Bad customer service!
Does anyone read these reviews, if so do they care. http://ecorporateoffices.com/LAFitness-2741?sent=1#mainInfo This organization is going down the tubes. They care nothing about the customer. Clearwater Fl club is a dump. Management does nothing to fix the problems. The ball court has been out of commission for years. Give us what we paid for or reduce our member fees. I challenge anyone to find a good review on this organization.
Who is in charge of the local clubs. I am a member of the LA fitness route 7 club in Boca Raton FL. Machines are in extremely poor repair. Upholstry is often left torn for many weeks. Machine often out of order for 3-4 weeks at a time. I once had a handle on a chest machine break while working out. This handle wa perminnantly fixed to the machine and could have resulted in serious injury. Many handles for the pulley towers are mismatched and often missing. Who is in charge of checking out these clubs to insure some kind of standard to maintain the Brand name of LA fitness. Locker rooms seem clean as are the bathrooms. Management of the local clubs seem more interested in personal training or getting new members, while ignoring the general quality of the equipment.
I have about 30 paid trainer sessions available to use. As i have found out the turn-over rate with trainers there is extremely high. I had numerous of trainers. Well, I finally found one that I liked and she was gonna be there for awhile. I was excited, but after 3 or 4 session in, she informs me that she was now a Master's Trainer and that if I would like to continue working with her that I would have to pay an additional $5-$7 per session. I was livid. I was not mad at my trainer but mad at management. They should have told me this before they advised me to work with her because I know they knew she was going to be promoted. What I don't understand is since my sessions are already paid for, then why do I have to pay extra. This new cost should be charged to people who don't already have PAID training sessions. Of course management at the gym is no help. I really just want my money back for them to honor what my contract says when I paid for those sessions. Once LA Fitness get your money, then they don't care about you. If they don't fix this problem, I will go to BBB.
