I saw the women at the Lewiston Idaho location be repeatedly mean to their customers. An elderly lady needed to use the restroom and they told her no. These people were Mexican and they wouldn’t help them remove the item from the store nor would they help them load their shelving unit. I asked for their names, Catherine, Amber and this other large woman who work there are something else.

What is up with Pier 1 these days! I went to the store to redecorate my living room. One saleslady offered to help, but was rudely called away by her manager after a few minutes of assisting. Is this their new policy? Went to the other location to finish off some decorating-the store manager there was so overbearing and bossy making rude comments about my lack of decorating ability and taste. I can deal with that. What I didn't like was that she then took my receipt (which reflected purchases made with my credit card) and converted it to merchandise credit toward the new purchases. Thereby, making it impossible to get my cash back or credit back to my card if I was not satisfied. Tricky!!! About 2 weeks later, I went back to make another purchase. I was looking for a large picture. I purchased the picture using the merchandise credit plus about $150 cash. When I got home, the picture was not suitable. I returned the picture and was told that I could not get the $105 cash I paid out because they didn't have but $100 cash in the register, which they were required to keep at all times. I was told to call back the next day and if someone else pays cash in excess of that amount, I could get my cash back. I was also offered a check from the corporate office, which could take up to 10 days to receive. I was nice about it, but felt this was very unfair. They should have told me that when I took out the cash to pay them. I would have used my debit card. I'm under a deadline to finish a room. They didn't care about my convenience...only that they kept their $100 in the register. Incredible! I called corporate...No answer. I called the store back yesterday to inquire about my cash. They said try us back on the weekend. We might have some extra cash then. Please tell me....who does business this way? I'm at the point of going up there to picket on the street in front of the store until they give me back the same cash I gave them! Does anyone want to go in together for a law-suit? This has got to be illegal. If you do, contact me at: fran_curry@hotmail.com.

Saturday, July 13 I went to the Culver City Store and purchased three little items, my total was 6.03. I gave the cashier 20.00 bill and three pennies. When she gave me my change I immediately put in my little purse. Did not count it, my mistake. My next stop was the liquor store to buy lottery tickets. When I took my money out all I had was 4.00, my change should of been $14.00. I could not purchase the tickets I wanted so I called the store and told them I did not get the correct change. the person said she remembered me and to come back to the store. My original purchase was at 10:28. I start work at 11:00am so I decided to be a few minutes late and returned to the store. When I got there the cashier said she remembered giving me two $5.00 and 4 dollars. I took everything out of my purse and showed them my four dollars. I sent to a store and got a sandwhich which I paid with my debit card. The Manager said she checked the cash register 4 times and it was correct and I must of lost the $10.00. I did not drop or lose $10.00. She was not going to give me the correct change. I told her I would not be coming back to the store ever and she was fine with that. I never got nasty or shouted at her. I am dissappointed in her behavior as I am not the kind of person who would make a fuss if I lost $10.00, but don't like being taken advantage of. I know nothing will come of this. I just didn't like her attitude and I will never step foot in that store again. Phyllis Ligon Medac1@aol.com

this company and its employees in atlanta are the worst! the opened a charge card without my express consent. they portrayed the "rewards" points care as just that, a rewards system, NEVER a credit card. now my credit rating takes a hit as i promptly closed this account upon receiving a bill! i will never shop there again (north druid hills rd location specifically).

Worst experience ever with Pier1 online shopping/order. Went online, place my order, saveD $$ on shipping by picking up itmes listed online as "available for pick." However, website provided inaccurate info and 3 out of the 6 items were not available 4 pk up, per Downey store asst mgr Dominique Douglas & she was unable to offer any remedy to problem. I called Pier1 Customer Service and reported their website inaccurate info and what an incovenience it was to their customers, me being one of them. I first spoke to Tanesha, said problem was due to technical issues and she was unable to offer any remedy to my problem, then I spoke to Yvette, her supervisor, who in a condesending tone told me the same thing as Tanesha. Pier1's proclaimed "Committment to Customer Service" is nothing but a farce. VERY UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER.
