The two main phone lines into our hospital have been down for approximately 36 hours. Our IT staff have worked around the clock and have made multiple calls to Windstream without success. Finally Windstream told our IT staff that a technician would be here between 4-6pm yesterday. He never showed up. On the second day, Windstream sent a technician to our location. He stayed 10 minutes and said that the didn't know what was wrong and left. I have reached out to the Corporate Office but everyone there is untouchable. This is why we are leaving Windstream and going with another vendor for voice over IP phone system. If you doubt the accuracy of my comments, look it up. Our ticket number is 45082930.

Windstream(like all the other communications companies AT&T,Mediacom, etc.) do not have enough competition to make them responsive to consumers. Capitalism works best for customers when there is competition for their business. Tried to sign up for Windstream's Kinetic 200 service 2 times this week. Both times they were totally rigid in their requirements for a hard credit check. I have 2 of my credit reports frozen. I told them they could use the 3rd but they insisted I unfreeze the one they use. The offer I was trying to accept has no contract and no cancellation fees. I even offered to pay the first 2 months up front. But they insist on dinging my credit rating with a hard check. So I cancelled the order again and they will not be doing business with me. Their loss.

Our telephone lines are so bad we are losing business. This has been going on for several weeks. We switched from Speed Beem to Windstream because it was so bad, just to find out that the problem was poor wiring from Windstream. This was told to us by a Windstream repairman. We have such bad connection and noise on them that we are losing members and events. We cannot even keep our internet connection in service. This is a major problem that needs to be addressed immediately. Gerald Marvel,COO,GM Eddie Dunaway, Business Manager

i am a windstream customer in an area where that is our only option.i am elderly and live alone. my phone has been out of order for 7 days and i have not yet been able to have service recitify the problem. the repair service is 'scheduled" for july 3rd meaning it has been 7 days since i reported this problem.this is abhorrent for a public utilities company to treat it's hostage customers in this manner.however-i am assuming that the mantra is why bother as that is the only choice--laissez faire.
