Went to Bloomfield BMW; located 425 Bloomfield Ave Bloomfield, NJ 07003 to have my 2012 535i serviced. My car was there for 8 days with no call back from any service tech. I finally Called and spoke to the manager Richard; our conversation was very simple but I asked, among other things why no more BMW loaner vehicles; he said that they had dramatically reduced their loan vehicle program due to Covid-19; I had to get a rental in the mean time. when I was finally able to speak to a service tech the information given was very misleading. let me say; without hesitation; customer satisfaction at this dealer is dead. it appears to be that service techs are more concerned with the more expensive paying repairs and having an impressive performance portfolio than addressing the needs of the customer. me and my family all drive BMW'S and we will no longer return to this dealership. I had to refer the incident to BMW corporate office.
I purchased a 2011 X5 through the Military Sales program in Italy thus the truck was manufactured in Spartanburg, SC so you would think there shouldnt be any issues with this vehicle well guess again. After having the truck a few months it begin making a loud squealing noise which was overlooked by Checkered Flag BMW in Virigina Beach, VA when i complained about it intitally. Now fast forward 2 years later the problem has gotten worse in addition to the fact that the Universal joint on the truck had snapped and had to be replaced. Checkered Flag did replace the U-joint after filing a claim with my warranty company but yet again neglected to address the squealing noise. I have had to take my truck back 2 additional times after having the u-joint replaced just to have the problem properly addressed. They say 3rd time is a charm so hopefully they got it right this time. When i bought this truck i thought that i was buying a quality luxury vehicle however owning this truck is turning out to be more of a headache than anything else. And the service i am receiving at Checkered Flag leaves much to be desired to say the least i am very dissatisfied
WE PURCHASED A 2011 BMW FROM PAUL MILLER ON RT. 23 IN WAYNE. WHILE WE ARE SATISFIED WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THE CAR, WE ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH THE RUN-FLAT TIRES: WE'VE HAD TWO NAIL PUNCTURES NECESSITATING REPLACEMENT OF THE TIRE AT A COST OF NEARLY $600. NAIL PUNCTURES CANNOT BE FIXED WITH PLUGS LIKE ORDINARY TIRES. THIS WAS NOT EXPLAINED TO US OTHER THAN "DO YOU WANT TIRE INSURANCE?", WHICH I DECLINED BECAUSE OF THE $2,000+ COST. NO REASON WAS GIVEN FOR THE NEED FOR THIS INSURANCE. BMW HAS SAVED THE COST OF PROVIDING A SPARE TIRE AND THE COST OF NAIL PUNCTURES IS PASSED ON TO THE CONSUMER. SHAME ON BMW AND THE DEALER.
