Here's a follow up on my sewer problem. Mr. Rooter of Joliet Illinois told me that my sewer line had a partial collapse. Upon digging up the sewer line I discovered that the line was never collapsed. I had a huge root ball inside of it. I the hydro flush was performed properly the root ball would have been completely removed. I did a bit if inveswtigating with other people in my area and it sounds as if the Joliet Illinois branch of Mr. Rooter has tried to perform this scam with several other people here. I will be contacting the BBB here to file a complaint!
I posted a negative complaint yesterday and it appears that you don't have the guts to post it. Just as I suspected, no integrity at all.
I recently had one of the worst plumbing experiences ever with Mr. Rooter of Joliet, Illinois. First of all, they didn't come to service my backed up sewer line until 6 days after I called! Secondly, they never provided me with an estimate of the hydro flushing. I received the bill for $985.00 after they were done. Finally, after they broke one of the clay sewer tile (In my opinion they broke it.) they provided me with a quote of around $8,000.00 to dig up my yard and replace a 30 foot section of sewer line. I received 2 other quotes for $2,800 and $1,400 to do the same work as Mr. Rooter AND install a sewer clean out outside. The technician from Joliet named Bryan actually had the nerve to call one of the other sewer services who provided me with a bid and call him names!!! How professional was that? Last but not least, Bryan wouldn't honor my $100 off coupon what states it is good for "Any sewer line repair OR clean out" he said that the hydroflush doesn't count as a clean out. I feel totally let down by Mr. Rooter and will not be a return customer. I will be sure to let many other people know not to call Mr. Rooter!
Yesterday I had Mr.Rooter come out to disconnect my water in the kitchen so I could install new counter tops and they came out. Found a problem with my water shut off and fixed that. Now I have to wait 24 hours to get my water turned back on and of course they can't come out until Tuesday. Seriously! You were quick to come out and shut it off and charged me and arm and a leg for the service and now you can't turn it back on because emergencies for the next 2 days are more important. I'm sorry but not having water in the kitchen is kind of a big deal and an emergency to me. Specially when it's a holiday weekend and you have people coming over. I can tell you right now I will NEVER use their service again. I even bought the advantage plan which according to them I get priority when emergencies arise but obviously not having water is not a big issue to them. I will not recommend them to ANYONE I know. Actually I will tell everyone about my bad experience.
