Lenox deals with giftware, collectible products and even tabletops under the brands of Gorham, Dansk and Lenox brands. They are the only major player dealing in bone china materials in the country. They even bear the feather to introduce bone china collectibles in the White House. Walter Scott Lenox founded the company in 1889, as Lenox's Ceramic Art Company. Their products wire exhibited for the first time in 1897, at The Smithsonian Institution. In 1970, the company started to use decals of full-color lithography. They even introduced the patterns of Ming and Mandarin. Presently, the company continues manufacturing dinnerware of bone china in various plants across North Carolina and Kinston.
