Family Christian store is a store which sells Christian books and family movies. It was started as Zondervan at the Zondervan Farmhouse in the year 1931 by brothers Bernie and Pat. Their first store was opened in Grand Rapids in the year 1932 and they published their first book called “Women of the Old testaments” by Abraham Kuyper in the year 1933. In the year 1971 Zondervan was renamed as Family Book store. In 1997 Family Book store name was changed to Family Christian Stores. This was done to reflect the variety of Christian lifestyle products that were sold in the stores. In the year 2013 Family Christian Store became a not for profit business and contributed all its earnings to Christian Charities. There are around 280 stores in 36 states of United States of America.
