During this Covid19, Dollar General has said that they are helping to keep their customers safe and are following the guidelines of other stores. Well this is just NOT TRUE!!! Yes they have signs up on their doors saying Mask required when entering the store but their own employees are NOT even wearing the Mask nor are they enforcing the customers to do so, the employee's are not wiping anything down or cleaning the stores! You might as well take the signs down because if you can't get your employee's to wear them then why bother!! You can't even get your employee's to stock the shelves for they are to busy sitting outside smoking cigarettes!! This is very disappointing and you are not helping the problem!!

There is a Dollar General store in Hayneville Ala . That store is so congested , they have boxes all in in the aisle , which is very dangerous , a customer can fall over them and then there goes a Lawsuit . Outside and on the back of the store look like a dumping ground for trash. Something should be done about that very soon. That store need to be reorganized for better customer services.

I stopped in the Dollar General in Fort Lawn, SC on 08/30/2013. I had been in there about 30 minutes shopping, when I saw a customer with the restroom key in her hand standing at the register giving it back to the cashier. I asked her if I could use the key and she told one of the employees that I was going to use the key. The employee ( female) said NO She Can't Use the Restrooms They are out of Order! Then she said there are signs at the register that we don't have restrooms for customers. I had driven almost an hour from Charlotte NC where I work as a Charge Nurse in rush hour traffic and still had about 40 minutes drive home. I really needed to use the restroom.I stood there and looked at each of the registers and there were no signs, I told the female employee ( since there were only 2 in there, a male and a female employee) that there were no signs at either register and if there were she needed to show them to me. She came out from behind the counter since she had no customers because the male employee was checking everyone out gave me a hateful look and said come with me in a mean tone. She had the bathroom key in her hand so I thought she was going to let me use it. She got to the restrooms and pointed. She SAID SEE THE SIGNS, CAN'T YOU READ!! She was so hateful and nasty to me when she said it that it really made me angry and she started to walk past me back to the counter and I thought she was going to knock me down, I had to step back out of the way to keep her from walking all over me.I told her she needed to put signs on the front doors that there was no restrooms available to customers. She gave me a hateful glare and kept walking. I decided to check out right then and went to the register where the male employee was. When I got to him, I think he knew she had been nasty to me and I was mad. I looked at him and said I want to know her name. He said Michelle Knight. I said I am going to report her. He said she is our "Assistant Manager". He apologized several times on her behalf and said I am sorry she was rude. I told him it wasn't his fault she was nasty. His name was Corey and he was very nice. I will be calling Michelle's manager and talking with her about this situation. I have to deal with nasty people all the time when I am working and I have to maintain a professional attitude, be nice to patients and their families and apologize alot for things I can't control. If she is in a leadership role then what is she showing her employees about customer service. I feel that if she was that nasty to me I woud definitately hate to work with her, for her, or around her. I think she be fired.I will not take my busniess to this store again.

The Dollar General Store in Bethune SC had been an eye sore to the community, especially the safety and condition of the interior. The store had gotten so dirty and neglected I would drive 20 miles to another store. The store clerks would just stand around and talk among themselves - poor business. Since the new manager has arrived on the scene the store has been completely revamped, cleaned, and organized much to the appreciation of the community, since we have no other retail outlet in our area. We, the community are greatly appreciative of the hard work which has gone into making our local store look as good as the newer stores which have opened around us in the past year. Keep up the good work. We are now proud of our main attraction, the Dollar General.

I live in Georgia and today I stopped at the Dollar General @3540 Hwy 81, McDonough, Georgia. The parking lot was filthy, garbage can outside was running over with trash on the side of the store. When I went in the store the floors were disgusting and there wasn't too much on the shelves but there was stock sitting all around the store blocking the isles. This is a new store and I was surprised to see how dirty it was. Some of the people who work there look unacceptable to be dealing with the public also. It was a mess....What is going on with Dollar General Stores?

You really should do better at hiring Managers for your store the store in our town, Is drinking getting drunk with under aged employees. She don't hiring anything but young people, that way the older ones don't tattle on her. She may be somewhat good at her job, but a very poor role model and poor person.

A family member of mine works at a Dollar General store in Texas and was told by management that employees are NOT allowed to take bathroom breaks while they are on the clock!!!! Who the heck comes up with these ridiculous rules!?! Of course managers make bank runs & can relieve themselves elsewhere. What are the employees suppose to do wet and crap their pants while tending to customers!?! Many of the store managers here also leave only after 2-3 hours of "work" and then have the audacity to complain that the store is a mess. Employees are left with up to 5 hour gaps alone until another employee relieves them. Talk about unethical work conditions. The local media needs to be alerted about this because the majority of district and store managers cover for each other. In this economy people need a job,but this is wrong!

the martin ky dollar general needs attention bad, it takes you at least 15 minutes inline to get checked out, they never get in a hurry for you, about 50% of the time you pull into there parking lot you will have them outside setting smoking, and they need a lesson on kindness to there customers, u hardly get a smile or a thank you, and most of all what bugs me the most they bag your food with cleaning or other chemical items when bagging them i always have to ask them not too, we need this store in our area. maybe thinks will in prove, needs looked into
